About Chandra Louise, PhD
Chandra Louise, PhD is President of PharmSupport. A scientist by training, Chandra has occupied the roles of
scientist, manager, consultant, and regulatory and medical writer for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to
co-founding PharmSupport, Chandra was a
publication scientist at GlaxoSmithKline and a clinical project manager and
associate clinical research scientist
at Quintiles. Chandra earned her BA in biology from Cornell University and her PhD in microbiology and immunology from the University of Rochester.
Chandra's experience includes:
- 8 years of basic science research
- >20 years in pharmaceuticals/biotechnology
- Management of clinical studies
- Leadership of multiple project teams including interdisciplinary teams and large regulatory and medical writing project teams
- Planning, writing, management, and assembly of hundreds of regulatory documents
- Supervision of project teams of >40 people
- Management of project budgets of millions of dollars
In 2001, Chandra joined forces with Fred Smith, MD to create the company now known as PharmSupport.
Personally, Chandra is an avid exerciser, loves rockets and space exploration, and enjoys playing flute and oboe.
